Cécile Cavalade has more than twenty years of experience in the design and management of research and innovation collaborations, mainly public/private partnerships.
She began her career at the Henri Tudor Research Center (now LIST, Luxembourg) where she headed a team of researchers in strategy and organization of information systems. Among other things, she contributed to the design and deployment of the performance measurement system for Luxembourg public research. Cécile then created a PMO department that provided support services in project design, proposal writing, collaboration set-up and project management (training, tools, quality standards, etc.). This for a portfolio of about 120 active projects, private or subsidized under national and European programs, involving more than 300 researchers.
Cécile then continued her career in Belgium, first within the Interface Entreprise of University of Liège and then at the Technology Tranfer Office of the Université Libre de Bruxelles. She accompanies researchers in the economical valorization of their results : intellectual property strategy, license negotiation and spin-out company creation.
Recently, Cécile started a consulting activity to share her experience in the design and operational management of innovation projects and in IP strategy.
Cécile is certified "technology transfer professional" ATTP, Alliance of Technology Transfer Professionals. She is currently pursuing a Master 2 "Intellectual Property and Innovation Strategy" co-organized by the University of Strasbourg and IEEPI, European Institute Enterprise and Intellectual Property.
In addition to innovation, Cécile is interested in the question of the impact of research, mainly in the field of social sciences and humanities, and by social entrepreneurship. She followed a university certificate in Management of Social Enterprises organized by CES /HEC Liège.
Cécile manages Phusis' projects related to innovation and partnerships.
