Antoine Henry de Frahan

Antoine Henry de Frahan graduated in medicine (BA in medical sciences, cum laude, University of Namur) and in law ( (licence en droit, magna cum laude, Université Libre de Bruxelles and LL.M. Columbia University Law School – BAEF Fellow).

Early Career

He started his career with international law firms Cleary Gottlieb and Linklaters, where he practiced corporate law (corporate governance, M&A and joint ventures). He then joined the international legal department of Engie to work on infrastructure project development and financing across Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

The Turning Point

After ten years of legal practice, Antoine started his own management consulting firm (Frahan Consulting). He completed the Entrepreneurship program of Solvay Business School and became a certified master practitioner of NLP (neuro-linguistic programming).

Expert in the legal profession

As a consultant, Antoine’s initial focus was – logically – law firms and law departments. In 2006, he joined forces with Barend Blondé to set up FrahanBlondé, a management consultancy entirely dedicated to the legal profession. Since then, Antoine has been conducting a wide variety of consulting, coaching and training assignments for law firms and law departments. He has worked across Europe, in the US and in Asia, with lawyers from more than 25 different nationalities, for clients ranging from leading global law firms and in-house law departments to national and regional champions and niche firms.

Coaching leaders and their organisations

In parallel, Antoine has increasingly been working with leaders and leadership teams in other sectors. He now works with CEOs, executive committees, senior executives and management teams on strategy formulation and communication, effective governance, organisational design, and high-performing leadership.

Integrating both sides of the brain

Since early childhood, Antoine has always been drawing, painting and cartooning (his schoolboy’s notebooks were full of drawings). Later on, he made several painting exhibitions published cartoons in newspapers and was a very productive creator. A pivotal moment for Antoine was a graphic facilitation course with David Sibbet. Since then, Antoine has been blending his graphic talent and visualisation skills and his consulting work in a very distinctive manner.

Antoine teaches strategy and legal design for the LLM program at EDHEC Business School in Lille and speaks to many audiences at professional associations, academies, corporate universities and training institutes. He has published dozens of articles. His first book, Créer de la valeur ou disparaître, has been published in January 2021, and many more are in the pipeline.
